I appreciate people's personal stories, making deep, meaningful connections with others, and working with clients to live more meaningful lives.  I am father of two children, enjoy songwriting, reading books about philosophy and spirituality, and have a strong interest in social justice issues.

EXPERIENCE

My primary training has been in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), a type of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  I completed a pre-doctoral internship at the VA Northern California Health Care System and completed a post-doctoral residency at the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Coralville, IA.  I have been in private practice since 2016.  You can find my research and record of publications at ResearchGate.
